Chefs Luke Dale-Roberts and Ryan Cole are the powerhouses behind fine dining eatery Salsify at the The Roundhouse in Camps Bay, Cape Town. A beautiful setting in a building dating back to 1786 (when it was built as a round guard house), it was later used as a hunting lodge for Sir Lord Charles Somerset. The restaurant’s main dining areas are situated in the inner and outer rings of The Roundhouse.
We worked with Chef Ryan and GM Markus Fiedler to develop a bespoke gin for the restaurant offering. The gin combines smoky Lapsang-Souchon tea and cherries together with more traditional gin botanicals, juniper, coriander and citrus. Served with a few dashes of a bespoke cherry bitters it is the perfect aperitif to enjoy while dining there.
